The Siemens - TBS integration provides a very high level of security without compromising convenience and ease of access for system users and fits into all common state-of-the-art IT environments. Users' biometrics can now be enrolled using the SiPass integrated™ web client. The wizard-driven enrolment is easy to use and enables users to enrol multiple fingers directly from the SiPass integrated™ application. Here are just some of the advantages of the integration.
Biometric Enrollment
TBS offers a variety of biometric enrolment options:
- On device - Central enrollment
- Remote enrollment - Mobile enrollment
Single User Interface
Administrators and Managers of the system can access all the features from a single, intuitive user interface, removing the need to switch between applications. This includes biometric enrollment of the users which can be triggered directly in SiPass integrated™.
Biometric Synchronisation
The Siemens-TBS seamless integration allows for automatic distribution of biometric templates between devices. Once enrolled, individual templates are automatically distributed to all devices on the network where the user has access privileges. If a user is deleted, the user’s biometric templates and access rights are removed.
Identification and Verification Modes
TBS offers the flexibility of both identification and verification modes. Identification requires only one biometric trait (finger-print or iris) to be provided by the user (1:N). Verification re-quires additional credentials to be presented, such as card or PIN, and then the biometric matching confirms the user’s identity (1:1). This allows greater control in high-security locations or in installations with a very large user database.
Flexibility
The TBS – Siemens integration enables integrators and end-users to specify the most appropriate biometric device from one of the
largest portfolios on the market. Multiple types of biometric readers can be deployed across a single installation or enterprise.
Scalability
The TBS infrastructure has been designed for scalability and allows to connect an unlimited number of devices across a single installation, which can cover multiple sites. Combine this with the unlimited number of doors that can be secured by SiPass integrated™ and you have a truly scalable solution.
