TBS - Interflex Integration

TBS is proud to collaborate with Interflex Datensysteme GmbH, which is a part of the Allegion group. Since 1976, Interflex develops, produces, and sells combined hard- and software systems for security solutions and workforce management. The Interflex - TBS Integration is suited for small and large installations. The Interflex application IF-6040 allows to directly capture biometric traits of users, grant them access rights and manage TBS devices.

The seamlessly integrated solution works fastly and reliably, is highly secure and is targeting access control situations demanding highest security standards like in data centers. But it can also serve to secure time and attendance reporting, preventing abuse by properly identifying users at every booking.

Data channels are secured by TLS encryption. TBS devices feature liveness detection and can create and manage up to 20.000 biometric templates in identification mode, or 100.000 in verification mode.

Biometric Registration

TBS offers several options to register biometric traits of new users and to store them in the system:

• on the device
• central enrolment 
• portable enrolment

Identification and Verification Modes

TBS offers the flexibility of both identification and verification modes.  Identification requires only a biometric (fingerprint or iris) to be provided by the user (1:X).  Verification requires additional credentials to be presented by the user, such as card or PIN, and then biometric match confirms the user’s identity (1:1).  This allows greater control in high security locations or in installations with large databases of users.

Central Management Interface

Administrators and system managers can access all required functions and features from a single intuitive user interface without having to switch applications. This includes the biometric enrolment of new users directly from IF-6040.

Biometric Synchronisation

The seamless integration of Interflex and TBS enables automated distribution of biometric data among the devices. Once registered the biometric templates are automatically distributed to all devices in the network. Deleting a user immediately removes all user data including biometric templates and access rights from the entire installation.

Flexibility

The Interflex-TBS Integration allows endusers to select the ideal biometric device from one of the largest product portfolios in the market. Different sensor technologies and devices can easily be mixed within a single installation or within a company.

Scalability

The TBS infrastructure was made for scalability and can handle an unlimited number of devices within a single installation. Combined this with IF-6040 comprehensive solutions for time and attendance, workforce management, access control and visitor management can be realised.
